Maybe you guys could post if you're going to do some instance runs. Really, all Slappy has left to do is dungeons and PvP and I've burned myself out on PvP. I stopped logging in much because few Martians were ever on. I mean, I'm not going to log in if there's not going to be anything to do, so a few posts here would be great. You know, it's that communication thing everyone's always raving about. :)

Denied!

Anyway, LBRS was fun, even though that Patton guy keeps freezing all the targets.

 <3 circ

honestly, we didn't have anything huge planned for last night

i logged in and tai was like "hey lets do scholo" so we did and now foe owes us his soul

then it was over and i was pissed about disenchanting two motherfucking librams of divinity, so i was like "lets go do LBRS"

so we did, and it was fun

i think the MC in WoW is coming back pretty strong. i'm going to go bump inka's post so i can make fun of her... except its locked

but the point is made

WoW is fun again, i had a blast in LBRS last night, if only because we were all laughing and having a good time

I too thank all the participants. :) Great fun, good drops, and two quests completed!! :)

PS. I posted that I was doing Scholo last night come hell or high water in the Zul'Farak thread :)

I just tried to get a screenshot of it, but forgot it was patch day :( My color coordination has definately taken a step backwards though: cyan, purple, and red, what a combo. Good thing you can hide the hat and cloak :)

Posting when people are going to do instances has never really panned out in the past. The same 3 people would show up, wait on a 4th or 5th, and then end up doing something other than the posted run.

Instances are run almost every night, and generally the first one to answer when Pogo asks "What would you like to run?" is the person that decides where we go. Even given that fact, we still end up getting a PUG to fill the 5th spot.

So, for ease of those that wonder or wish to run X instance on Y night:

INSTANCE RUN TONIGHT!
Time: 8:00 Server time until done
Place: Guild Chat
Instance: Majority rules, or Scholo... whichever comes first
Classes wanted: ALL!!! (except rogues)

Water and entertainment will be provided, please bring your own potions and bandages. No smoking during boss battles unless you are on fire.

Cool, I shall chat with her, and see if she can sell them to me for less than 4 gold each, thanks  In the meantime, all can admire my pretty new robe!

Maybe you guys could post if you're going to do some instance runs.

Back to the topic at hand. I know planned runs (i.e. everyone runs at x time every Tuesday night) do not work, but there is no reason not to plan ahead. I can lock in one or two nights a week if I plan ahead. My wife is not taking classes this semester which will make it tons easier. Last nights ZF run was wicked. That was my first ZF run and I can see why people like the instance. Tons of fun. Only one pseudo wipe (Melissa had Krimet soulstoned) and two new BLUES for me! Huzzah! I felt a little greedy, but since I was rolling against a non-MC that already won the first Blue, I got over those feeling pretty quickly.

Tick
08-31-2006, 10:07 AM
I didn't realize you got two blues, nice. You got a pretty good green shield too, didn't you?

Avalon616
08-31-2006, 11:22 AM
I'm all for having planned nights as game nights. Especially planned times too, cause when Tick and I hang out we tend to lose track of time and then miss the bus.

I don't really know what good times are for me as of yet, but in a week school will have started and my schedule will be more set.

Kermit
08-31-2006, 12:06 PM
The blues were Shield and Shoulders. I think the green was bracers but I forget. That was a total greed roll. I'll look tonight and post what it was. If anyone wants it for an alt or even just to cash in, I'll cough it up.

Warrior dude was so freaking lucky at the beginning rolls... Once he showed me his old shield I felt a little bad, but he had just ripped the blue mace away. If he had been an MC I would have given up on the shield. Those shoulders on the other hand rule. I'd have arm wrestled Orion for them (doped him with roofies first, but yeah....)

Shadowrat

what if we had a sticky of the next scheduled run. If i know something a week in advance, and i'm not working on this crazy work project. i can make it.

jackrabbit
09-05-2006, 10:43 AM
The sticky would read:

INSTANCE RUN TONIGHT!
Time: 8:00 Server time until done
Place: Guild Chat
Instance: Majority rules, or Scholo... whichever comes first
Classes wanted: ALL!!! (except rogues)

That's what I was getting at. This would apply for any night. We run instances almost every night. Planning is great. I just haven't seen it work very often, and have seen it fail quite often. The idea behind it is sound and I think all of us would love to say: Ok, DM on Wed, Scolo on Thurs, and a big LBRS run on Saturday night!

The problem is that even people that need those specific runs wont show up, won't show up on time, or worse - The Logroller Clause: 9 people show up for a run where 5 people need quests done and 4 people just want to play, and take personal offense when you try to quietly create the 5 man instead of finding their own 5th and running their own instance.

Patton had some success in scheduling and running instances, so I encourage people who have a night and an instance in mind to start a thread and state a time they plan to run it. Relying on someone like Pogo or Patton to schedule a run isn't entirely fair, and only makes it that much more annoying when only 3 people show up for it.

The best way to avoid drama is not to create a venue for it.

Shadowrat
09-05-2006, 12:39 PM
so does that mean there will be a run tonight at 8pm server time maybe for something that puck needs?

JR, I was never trying to create drama. I just want to know when you guys are doing instances. I'd like to get all these instance quests out of the way before the expansion gets here, but it's looking pretty grim. :(

jackrabbit
09-05-2006, 08:41 PM
Rat, we noticed. We ended up wiping. Just kidding. I think we'd finished Orion's quest before you would have gotten to us anyhow.

Oh, Circ! Sorry, I didn't even mean to suggest that you were trying to create drama. I'm just saying there has been drama that some people may or may not remember vividly and even in their sleep that occured based on grouping. I went off on a tangent in that post for no obvious or apparent reason that I can think of at all under these current circumstances. I got carried away as I'm oft to do.

I'll help you if I can. Aside from weird stuff (tonight) I'm usually on by 8 every night and ready to run whatever you'd like.

I'm going to try like the Dickens to get on tonight. 8:00 or so CDT. I always forget what that translates to for server time.

I'm up for whatever, unless people want to run a mid 40's instance. Then I'm definitely up for whatever.

This is me too, but I range from 7.30 PM server time (EDT) to around midnight server time. In fact, I think that's pretty close to the hours I played last night.
