Smackdown 163: Free to ski
Date: Sunday, May 7
Time: 7 p.m. PDT, 9 p.m. Central, 10 p.m. EDT
Game: Tribes
Gametypes: CTF, C&H, F&R
Maps: Valhalla (C&H), Mudslide (F&R), Snowblind (CTF)

On the eve of QB/MC's 7th (!) anniversary, it seems appropriate to return to the game that brought the whole nutty gang together in the first place.

The server will be running the last official patched version of Tribes - 1.11. I will have the server up and running earlier than usual so people can check to see if custom scripts and such cause problems.

The match will be best 2 of 3 and we will be using a different map and gametype for each round. First round will be Find & Retrieve, second round will be CTF (to insure at least one CTF game) and the tiebreaker, if necessary, will be C&H.

I've listed the maps above but am willing to make adjustments if there is a consensus. Note that a consensus is not the same as Bridude telling me my choices suck. :P

Hope to see youse there.

Can anyone walk me through installing a ski script? :)

If anyone wants to get together for a refresher/intro to Tribes 1, I'm around. Everybody should at least have their favorites set up so that Bri doesn't shoot you in the back if you take too long at an inventory station ;)

how do you leave an inventory station? do you have to hit the X in the top right?

The server is running now if you want to hammer it into the ground.

Ned's Tribal Donut, same IP and password as usual. If you don't know what these are, ask someone who should. :)

I just uninstalled Tribes, broke my install CD, and chalked it up to a lesson learned. :P

A replay in slow motion of sloths wrestling in a vat of molasses is more exciting.

That's odd. I had edited the message but it appears the edit didn't stick. But it's stuck now, boyo!

I thought the old record was 21 in UT?

We definitely added to the total number of people who have attended SDs though.
