My computer has aged well past it's prime. I am still currently running a P3 1Ghz with 768mb of pc100 memory and my good old Geoforce Ti4200. It was suggested that many martians probably have much better crap lying around in their junk piles and that I should start a thread to see if anybody wants to send said crap my direction. At this point I am interested because buying an upgrade is not in my near future.
Seems like I will have a spare 939 slot MB (MSI something or other, AGP though, not PCI express), and a 400 or 450W power supply soon....
Here's a list of junk I'm not using that you're more than welcome to Bud. Just say the word.
-Soundblaster Live! card
-assorted cables and stuff
I also think I might have 1 gig of RAM laying around that I don't use anymore. Not sure what kind it is (most likely it's PC2700)...I'll look tonight and post up.

Funny thing is that I am already running an Audigy, so I don't need a soundcard unless you think that it is damaged and causing the robot-thingy. Personally I think it is the lack of processor power that is causing the issue.

I'm inclined to agree. Sometimes he sounded perfectly fine on Ventrilo, too. Did you get the robot voice when a lot of stuff was going on, Budly?
I don't have much in the way of spare hardware right now, unfortunately. Postal got dibs on a video card thanks to his big puppy dog eyes. :)

I am proud to say that I just got a new computer, sans Dg help! Ok, it's my work computer & another techy picked it out for me ;) It's a Dell Latitude D610 - which I'm sure means more to y'all then me... it's pretty sweet though & hooks up to my 20" monitor & wacom drawing tablet at work... it's also got the wireless deal for moving about the building & will work on the system Dg did install for me at home! Like I REALLY want to access work from home...
