considering all the things happening in TMC WoW, im starting to consider trying other games, how/what's the end game in COH/COV..do you need 50peeps to get 1 item for 1 person? is it only PvP?

There is no endgame.
You hit 50, and aside from Hamidon, there is really nothing to do.

There's no endgame in CoH/CoV like there is in WoW. Once a character reaches level 50 (the cap) you can do a few things (some of these will vary a bit for villains, who will get 40-50 content in another month or so):
engage in PvP in the PvP zones. CoH does not segregate PvP between servers but rather has zones dedicated to it on each server. Currently there are three zones - Bloody Bay, Siren's Call and Warburg. The first two are heroes vs. villains, the third is a free for all. Each zone has PvE missions, an overall goal (launch the rocket in Warburg, for example) and caters to a specific level range. You get auto-exemplared to the level range of the zone (Bloody Bay is level 25, for example), which means you are always fighting people at the same level - no beating up lowbies or vice-versa. Rewards vary from temporary powers that can be used anywhere to influence (in-game currency) and prestige (used in supergroup base construction).
engage in PvP raids between supergroups. You can do "instant" raids now and soon they will have something called the Cathedral of Pain, an SG-only trial that wins your SG an Item of Power. An IoP confers some benefit to the entire SG and flags your base as raidable. Other SGs can attack and steal your IoP. The CoP trial is supposed to go live "soon".
take endless missions in the Shadown Shard - a level 40+ zone that has contacts handing out a small set of missions that can be repeated endlessly. The Shard is a tough zone both because of the navigation and the nasty Rularuu that inhabit it.
exemp to do content you missed at lower levels. This means having your level 50 artificially lowered to the same level as a teammate so that you can join them on missions without killing their XP.
work on badges. Most badges are simply collectible titles but some lead to accolades that can give your character permanent new powers or improved stats.
take part in Hamidon raids. Hamidon is a unique monster in The Hive, a 45+ zone and requires at least several dozen players to take down. This is probably the closest CoH gets to WoW's raid content. You get a Hamidon enhancement for helping to defeat the monster - basically a dual-purpose enhancement to boost one of your powers.
And that's about it. The endgame in CoH is very different than WoW and I'd say the game itself is much more about the journey, not the destination.
I have one level 50 character and many others in the level ranges below that.

There really isn't an endgame. It takes 100 or so people to beat the Hamidon, which gives you a special power enhancement you can't get anywhere else, but it's really no big deal. The PvP's OK, but definitely seems like an afterthought to me.
However, it's a total blast to make new characters once you take one to the level cap. There's tons of freedom in how you can make your hero/villain and, to me, I feel much more like an individual than in WoW where I simply feel like a piece of the puzzle required to overcome the challenges in the world around me.
Compared to WoW, there's really not much to do, but the combat is much more fun. I still really love WoW, but the combat just feels a little dull. It's hard for me to describe, but CoH/CoV does a fantastic job of making your character seem like a real hero, compared to WoW where you pretty much always feel like you can be overwhelmed by the things living in the world at any time.
**edit: I'm slow. :(

The combat in CoH is certainly one of the best I've seen. The interaction is phenomenal.

It's certainly different than WoW - no real loot, no auction houses, most missions are in instances, very little crafting (limited to bases right now, will be expanding beyond that in the future). But if you like beating the crap out of stuff, you could have fun with it for awhile. :)
