Devon is extremely sick right now. He has an very bad case of colic (built up gas in the upper intestines) and has stopped eating and drinking on his own completely. we are medicating him and force feeding him a "formula" but he just doesn't seem to be getting any better. He's depressed and lethargic...
I just really needed to talk about it a bit, since it is really affecting both myself and Lisa... you all know how very attached we have grown to our little piggy and hope that you will all make some time tonight and tomorrow to send him some happy thoughts for good health... the prognosis is not good, but we are working hard to bring him back to health.

Hope the furry little fella gets better soon, Arm!
I know how upset I'd be if my pets were sick.

How old is Devon? I think he was part of QB longer than a lot of the humans. :)
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

I do hope he get's better. Have you had his insulin level checked? Those symptoms are similar to what my cat had right when I had him diagnosed diabetic. Probably not something you want to hear, but you can console yourself with the idea that it's infinitely easier to give insulin to a caged guinnea pig than a cat with free run of the house.

Thats True Paladin. We had the same problem with out cat. What we did is inject him while he ate since he never would miss a meal. It was quite easy that way since he would not leave the bowl till it was empty we had stationary target.
Hope your piggy gets better Arm.
I'll send some good energy towards the furry thing. Hope he pulls through!

I'm fairly certain that the guinnea had QB tags before I did, as I believe it was Arm that brought me into the fold.
Here's to warm wishes for your fuzzy buddy.
