Anyone having issues with Arthas? Tonight (Sunday the 18th) I got disconnected about half a dozen times during the evening. Circuit and I were about to turn in a quest and log, anyway, but the server said, "Nuh uh!" and disconnected me repeatedly before I gave up. Ping was showing anywhere up to 2000ms or so.
I checked other servers (Aggramar, Bloodscalp and Silvermoon) and they were all fine. I've had Arthas burp before but never like tonight, which was less like burping and more like John Belushi in his final days.

Sunday nights are always bad it seems. I had a little lag from time to time but nothing that prevented me from playing

Was it everyone having issues or just you, Ned? Sometimes one bad router in the middle can make all the difference.

Scarlet Crusade was flaky during the weekend as well.

I've had problems with it, but it does tend to affect everyone that's playing when it does happen.

What's odd is that I was having no problems at all at the same time as Ned was having his troubles, but it could've been some doodooy connection between his computer and the server. I'm not sure where Arthas is physically located in relation to the other servers, but it seems strange that every other server he tried worked correctly. Intermittent connection problems are much more irritating than not having any connection.
Are you running any add-ins Ned?

No, running default configuration and again, all other servers ran perfectly, it was Arthas-specific. I'll just assume it was an issue between my ISP and the server's location. I was mostly curious if others were also having similar problems.

My problems are local to my switch. Aside from that, Arthas has been uncommonly comfy in terms of lag, even on the big population nights (NO QUEUE LAST NIGHT!)

last night was one of the laggiest nights I've ever had on Arthas (opening month not withstanding)

my ping was high (in the 300ms range) but still "green". I've had it well into red and yellow before with latency over 3 seconds. :(
I haven't been in a queue in about a week, though. Hooray!

There was a small queue when I first logged in early in the evening (60 or so). Most nights the queue is gone by the time I'm playing.

It has been unusually smooth for me of recent, just the usual minor burps, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I was red almost all of last night. Not sure what the deal was. It was still playable, but looting was delayed.

Ned and I were on Aggramar last night and it was pretty laggy for both of us for a while. Once it cleared up for me, Ned started getting the "unknown entity LOL KTHXBYE!" disconnection thing. I've still not had that happen, but it sure is annoying.
Also, for people who so dreary, the Undead sure have rambuctious dance emotes. :)

Disconnected twice tonight while on Arthas. First time my ping was showing as 99, dropped me after being on for about 30 seconds. Second time I hearthed from IF to Stormwind and was dropped a few seconds later. Ping was showing as 309 at that time.
Arthas is pretty much unplayable for me now.

You had the same thing happen on Aggramar the other night, right? I wonder if these problems are related to the no signal issue somehow.

Something that was posted that seemed to work for people having the same problem as you are, Ned:
1) Right click my computer hit properties
2) Click Hardware
3) Click device manager
4) Expand Network adapters
5) double click your network adapter
6) Click advanced
7) Disable checksum offload

The good news:
I followed the suggestions on the Blizzard site (one of which is what Circuit listed above) and my connection problems went away. My ping on Arthas was rather high but it went down after awhile and remained very much playable through the evening.
The not-so-good news:
I installed my new PSU today. Very nice, much quieter than my old Enermax. I removed my 40 gig HD (still have two in the system) and disconnected the floppy drive, since I never use it, anyway. Unfortunately, I had two more hard crashes while playing WoW. Again, temperatures on the video card are well within tolerance but I am thinking the video card or motherboard is the culprit here. *sigh*
