Kermit is spending the vast majority of his time in Desolace right now. I will probably be on tonight but will be on the other server tomorrow (Thur).

I can make the run with you if you like also... just for safety (bait)

roger that. I think I'd be the bait this time though.

oh BTW I don't have the gryp point. Whats the fastest way to get there on foot?

Maybe we can get one of the warlocks to help with that since it is a major pain in the ass and if you walk it from elf land you have to deal with horde guards or swim forever like eso did

are you thinking of faralas?

I think you can get to desolace through Stone Talon Mtns but I can't remember.

I have never been to feralas but I remember what Tai and Eso had to do to get that Desolace point.

The only reason I had it was due to the fact that we went raiding in horde land one time and Pogo told us to get it.

Ah that sounded like the way you get to Faralas. Anyways I just found this.

How to get to Desolace:

0. Before you go you should:
- Go to Ironforge and see Roetten Stonehammer in the Hall of Explorers to get the Reclaimers' Business in Desolace quest.
- Either have an Engineer friend make you an Advanced Target Dummy or buy one in the AH.
- Check the miscellaneous notes at the bottom.

1. Go to Nijel's Point:
To get to Desolace head to Kalmador and go south to and through the Stonetalon mountains and the Charred Vale. As you run south in Desolace, from Stonetalon, you will soon see a road sign pointing east to Nijel's Point. Head east a bit then north up the hill to Nijel's Point. Pick up the Griffon route and make your home at the inn.

I suppose we were questing in the early 30s since I recall the Stonetalon guards were a bitch but I could take them out for you if needed.

You can either run north through feralas, or you can run south from Ashenvale. I recently did the run from Ashenvale and should still be able to find the pass through Stonetalon Mountains without searching the map for hours. For me, the Ashenvale route was faster because I did not have the flyer point in Feathermoon. I also think that Ashenvale is safer in terms of mobs. Feralas has 40+ beasts milling around; Stonetalon should not go much beyond 30. (And there is no horde camp in the way either.)

I don't think there are any guards in ST other than sunrock retreat(horde base) which I wont be going near.

I'm going to fly from Aubordine > Stonetalon Peak then run south into Desolace.

When I went there I ran all the way from Auberdine. I had an escort at the time though.

If I remember right (and I usually don't) I ran a route something like this:

http://www.newcomputerguys.com/aj/WoW.jpg

It includes a short jaunt through Horde territory and I was ganked once by like 8 level 20's. As soon as they attacked I just sat down. When I came back to my corpse, they were all gone. I think they realized that I was just passing through and wasn't there to mess with anyone.

And again... I would be the bait. I have all the gryphon points I need to Nigel's Point so I could take the heat and die to let you get away and through.

Since I already have the point in ST peak

BTW theres a cave in ashenvale you could have taken to cut down your run time.

Oh and sorry I didn't mean to say guys in the title. Gender makes no difference.

Oh and sorry I didn't mean to say guys in the title. Gender makes no difference.

Maybe we should consult with Ned's English teacher again, but I always assumed that the way you used the word in the thread title included people of all genders. But maybe I'm wrong. And I always feel included anyway, even if people say: Oh, and we don't want Inka to join. I mean... you just HAVE to adopt that attitude if you want to sucessfully get on people's nerves. :bg:

We were questing in Desolace last night but Bri can not get very many quests due to his level. He is going to finish up Southshore instead.
