Smackdown 158: Fallout Helter Shelter
Date: Sunday, December 11th
Time: 6 p.m. PST/8 p.m. CST/9 p.m. EST
Game: Counter-Strike: Source
Gametype: Terrorists vs. Counter-Terrorists
Map: de_nuke
After a six month hiatus, it is time to pick up virtual weapons and smack each other upside the head. In terms of updating, you only need to launch Steam ahead of time and it should automatically grab the map as well as the other patches (unless you are Tai, in which case your computer will explode and fly out the window). It is important to update well in advance, however, as the patches are not tiny if you've not kept Steam updated.
Also note that the starting time is one hour earlier than before, to better accommodate the east coasters. If this is a problem, please mention it sooner rather than later.
Hope to see youse there. :jester:
EDIT: Postponed due to various crises and such.

So it's finally time for me to pick up CS:S, huh?
...sigh....
I hope you guys know you are the only ones I'll be playing with....
...so I blame you for me spending money.....
..bacause God knows I can't blame me for it!:)

Medic, do you not already have Half-Life 2?
Half Life 2 comes with CS:Source.
And if you don't have HL2, you won't be blaming us for making you get it, you'll be blaming us for not making you get it sooner.

You watch TV and don't have a DVR? I'm pretty sure that revokes your geek license - hand it over bud!

I think it's a safe bet that if we tried to find a time that pleased everyone, we'd like never play. :)

Reminder: start time in half an hour - one hour earlier than previous Smackdowns.
EDIT: Well, I wasn't expecting a super-hyoog turnout or anything but thanks to Log, Circuit and Pal for making the effort. :)

You could always re-download everything. It would take a good while, admittedly, but it is one of the advantages of Steam.

My PC locked up while Steam was stuck on 99% for CS:S, and after that, I started yelling and throwing stuff around the room, so I decided to have a cocktail and go to bed instead of playing.
At any rate, it has now downloaded and is all updated and junk.

yar... Family Guy was a rerun, but i've been far too tired to Smackdown anyways.
The Fall production of Bye Bye Birdie has been extended a week (to this Friday) due to snow last Friday... Auditions for the Spring Musical "Aspects of Love" are running monday-friday of this week, I've got to take my holiday choir to performances on friday and monday, and there is a HUGE amount of paperwork to be done prior to winter break...
ok... rant off...
I know that had NOTHING to do with Smackdown at all.. but i needed to vent.
I have found time to pick up a bit of Civilization 4, though. great game.
:devon:
I screwed up :( I was so exhausted/hungover on Sunday that I completely spaced the smackdown :(

Hey, I forgot about downloading it all off Steam.
I can play in the SD last night now!
