My most played and best class and the only one for which I have a 'real' Unusual. It is called Vivid Plasma and pulsates with a golden colored light.

My Heavy Weapons guy wears a bowler hat and has a pocket medic...

My engineer's hat leaves a trail of stamps as he runs around. The stamps represent custom maps that I like. He also has a Teddy Bear.

My pyro is insane and wears a rubber glove on her head and hides behind Googley Eyes. The eyes roll around in game just as one would expect.

My demo man wears cornrows and braids and a Valve headband:

Then there's the three classes I don't really play, Scout, Sniper, and Spy. The sniper sometimes uses a bow so his Robin hood hat fits in that theme, the scout gets a 25 hp bonus for wearing that milkman's hat, so that's what he's wearing, and the spy gets a silent decloak power from wearing the fez so he wears that.

That's what everyone is currently wearing, and some I never change, but I have something like 50 hats total so I might have to cycle through a fashion show. :)

Nope, we can't name the characters, we can only name our items. For example, one of our regulars who wears that hat on his heavy has renamed his gun to Vera...

I wanted to show you the Head of the Headless Horseman, but it is restricted to Halloween and we're not quite there yet. I will make sure to get shots of all my Halloween hats when the season opens. In the meantime, here's three from the holiday that aren't time restricted:

The Ghastlier Gibbus, you get this one for killing someone who is wearing it. (yeah, I know, chicken and egg problem. they solved it somehow)

I painted this skull with the 'Team Spirit' paint, so it is red tinged when I play on RED team and blue tinged when I play on BLU.

This is another spooky hat, you could craft it using the Haunted Metal that the Headless Horseman dropped.

The demoman can go flying through the air by jumping over his sticky mines at the same time he detonates them, so he often needs head protection. Here we see his Stunt Helmet

Sometimes Valve runs contests involving getting achievements in various games, posting on someone's wall in Steam, sending a gift to someone, etc. Then they gave you a hat based on what you did. This is one of the hats from the Great Steam Treasure Hunt, the one up from this the treasure chest is open and gold coins fall out as you run around, and the one after that the tricorner hat is a big squid head wrapped around the treasure chest.

I have maybe 3 hats Tai hasn't shown you already... I tried taking a few screenshots last night but I haven't found them yet. I'll need to edit for size. Maybe tomorrow night. Home improvements (and repairs due to damage incurred during home improvements) is taking all my free time. Hoping my part will be done tomorrow night.

Will definitely be online after class Wednesday night. Getting a new ISP and want to try it out.

You get his head by dealing some of the final killing damage to him. I'm not exactly certain of how 'final' is calculated, it's within X seconds of his death, but there might also be a distance factor to counter people running away. You get the haunted metal by doing the same thing but with a melee weapon. You can craft the metal into his axe, the voodoo hat or the skull hat. The axe is the best choice, both of the others are available in the store and trading.
