It looks especially squished, which works for the Eater and the popcorn, but makes the Pop-Tart look weird.

I had assumed the image files were square pixels and was rendering them as such. In this image, I just dragged the corner of the window down some, the entire board scales to the window, so one can adjust the MM squish factor feature of the game to get whatever result one wants (or does not).

Alternatively, if you can tell me the v and h dpi, then I can set the start size of the window to the proper ratio.

You too can license the squish factor technology for the mere lump sum of 1000 gold, or 25 gold for the next 50 turns!

When asking people to comment on art, it's probably best to let them see an accurate representation (via link in this case), although your Squish Factor technology is intriguing and bold.

The unsquished popcorn has a much more popcorn-like aspect and the glittering Pop-Tarts have a tangible "eat me!" quality.

(Also, hitting ALT-PRTSCRN will capture just the active window, no cropping necessary.)

My only issue is that the Poptart and the popcorn are roughly the same color. May I suggest a more strawberry color?

Strawberry popcorn tastes pretty gross - I'm not sure we could convince the eater to eat them. Last night, I got it to the point where he actually eats the items, and switches animation cycles when powered up.

I know I am spoiled and like to overindulge, but there's only poptarts in the corners? What about some special treats you can pick up on the way to the corners? (And I don't mean little blue pills this time. :p Just poptarts.)

The original pac man had various random fruits that showed up for bonus points. We might get that far in version 1.1 ;) We do have a space ship that will fly around shooting at our hero, just for kicks. (Or maybe the UFO should shoot at the spacemen?)

When the eater hits a special powerup, he turns into a ufo and can chase around after the spacemen and gets 5 seconds or so of free movement (ignoring the walls). But, if he's not back in the maze again when his super-timer runs out, he goes boom.

I like this idea, we shall ponder it. We can add in a wandering power up (like the old pacman fruits), and if the eater gets that one, then he gets the UFO powerup.

The forms the wandering powerups take needs some thinking. What would normally turn a martian into his UFO? A hitchiker thumb maybe?
