In case you missed it when Windows 7 launched, or wanted to hold out until the OS was more proven, Microsoft is bringing back their Family Pack deal. The pack goes on sale October 3 (October 22 outside the U.S.) and includes 3 upgrade licenses and 1 copy of the media of Windows 7 Home, for $149. The pack can be used to upgrade an existing copy of Windows XP or Vista to Windows 7. That's $50 off per copy, so if you have multiple computers in your house to upgrade, this is a good deal. Even if you only want to upgrade 2 computers, you still save $50 vs. buying 2 upgrade copies.
Note: XP users still need to do a clean install of 7. Ditto if moving from 32 bit to 64 bit.
