Red Dead Redemption, AKA Grand Theft Equine

So who's going to kick their spurs into Rockstar's latest sandbox game?

Reviews have been quite good out of the gate. I'm leaning towards the PS3 version. There have been reports of slight frame rate drops with this version versus the 360, but the visuals are said to be just a tad better.

I'm on the fence at the moment.

The 360 version would seem to be the one for multiplayer, since the PS3 will be using Gamespy, which in my experience has usually been poo.

However, I'm going to wait for the PC version if and when it's released. If it's not released on PC, I realize that will be a long wait.

But I shall enjoy reading about everyone's experiences in the meantime!

I'll be picking it up tomorrow on the xbox 360.

I'll probably get the 360 version, too. I have more 360 friends than PS3 friends. GTA IV ran better on the PS3, so I'd expect that RDR would as well since it's using the same engine. But who knows?

I'll most likely wait for the PC version unless everyone I know goes nutty for the 360 one.

I think i'll be picking up the 360 version. Amazon is offering a $20 gift card with it.

SamK I'm not sure what the connection issue was last night. I got it later on and had to restart the game to get back into multiplayer. I won't be on much tonight but the other guys will be. We should try to for a posse again.

I was able to get into a multiplayer game last night without any problems, so it may have just been a launch-day issue on my end.
