Today, I graduated with my MBA in conjunction with completing the first phase of my career internship with the government.

I'll be moving to the D.C. area a week from Friday, and will be ensconced in the wonderful fairyland that is Northern Virginia as I actually have to...work...as opposed to the educational environment I have enjoyed this past year.

I'll keep you all posted on exactly where I will be, but once I head out there, I am not sure how long it will take for me to reestablish contact with civilization. Theoretically, it shouldn't be that long of a blackout, but we all know how many things work in theory but do not in practice. Time, and the motivations of the ISP I use, will determine this.

I hear that "high-speed" dial-up approaches "DSL-like speeds"! You should get that because it's probably true and it uses magic.

There's also this thing called the phone! Apparently they have ones that you can carry around with you - I don't have one of those types, but I can give you my home phone #.

You can probably get Cox internet the same day if you pickup the modem yourself in Kingstowne (Springfield area) and your place is already setup with cable.
