I hate Kotaku. It's like IGN with more stories and worse writing. There's an entire word missing in the first sentence of the linked article. Proof-reading is hard!
But yeah, in one week players have created more story arcs/missions than the devs have in nearly five years. It's impressive but on the other hand, the CoH development team has always been rather weak when it comes to content. The new missions and TFs they add are good and generally get better with each release (compare any original TF to one of the newer ones) but they dribble them out slowly and in small amounts.
I think Matt Miller (Positron) has an obsession with new systems, because they have been pushed far more than new content. See: invention system, markets, merits (Vanguard, Rikti, mission/TF), mission architect (with its own ticket system).
I should have my first arc ready for play soonŽ.
