We built this on Saturday. My rough math gives me about 35 pounds of lift from each. I think it might be a close one:

I'd have to double check your math, but I think it might be more than 35lbs each.
I'm only saying this because I know how freaking heavy they are full and how heavy they are empty.
Also, I predict that in it's current configuration, it will float, however, remaining upright and together is a different question entirely.

Ok, I've had a minute or two to run the math and I'll work under the assumption that those are half barrel kegs. I don't have enough experience with the actual kegs to visually see if they are not. As you know, I'm a whiskey man. If they are bigger, just double my math.
Half barrel kegs hold 15.5 gallons according to Wikipedia.
Fresh water weighs about 8.35lbs per gallon, so if the kegs are empty, they should support a total displacement of 129.4lbs if fully immersed. The metal of the cans is 29.7lbs per keg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keg) so let's round it up to 100lbs of displacement per keg. I see 6 kegs, so that makes the raft able to support a total of close to 600lbs, or about 2.6 Kermits assuming the wood and the rope are neutrally buoyant.

For my movie review I have to say that your sound editor should be flogged. The acting was excellent and the plot twists were totally unexpected. I thought that "Tai" character would end up in the drink. Overall? Worth the price of admission.
Speaking of drink. I think the FV IDRinkTooMuch should be upgraded in a dry dock from cruiser to full battle ship. Build an identical one and attach the two with two-be-fers like so:

Then all you need is a rudder, a car battery, a trolling motor, and a place to mount the 50 cal.
I havea number of small (13 - 20 hp) gas motors lying around... :)

With a gas motor, you may have to get it licensed. Check local listings.

Yeah, you can tell when the water hits the inside of my thighs. :eek: I understand why the turtles sun themselves now for sure.
