Anyone try this free MMO yet? Looks like it is in open Beta. Not sure if it will be good but I watched a video on it and I was impressed that they worked to come up with some new ideas. You get a house from level one that has some interesting functions. They also have multiple types of dungeons including a type that the floor layout changes for you every time you reset it. I may try the Beta. My only wonder is where the money comes from. Free is never free. You can rent horses too which I think is funny.
Edit - Ah looks like you can play the game free but they have shops you have to pay real money to buy things.

Thanks, but I'm not really that desperate for another MMO. :)

I am, but I'll wait for The Old Republic. :)

I want to see how that one turns out for sure. Not that it will hold my interest for more than a year or so, but at least it has the chance of being very different from everything else that is out there.

I no longer look at MMOs as "lifetime" commitments. I play as long as they hold my interest then am content to move along and sometimes occasionally revisit them. In fact, I'm probably less likely to try an MMO that is structured around long-term goals (the so-called "grind").
As for Runes of Magic, no links, no screenshots, no sale! (although I seriously doubt I'd ever try a free MMO -- except for Free Realms simply because it looks so goofy and un-MMO-like)

After playing to level 10 the other day I have to say Runes of Magic caught my interest. It isn't to the level of WoW and it has a very Asian feel but for free it can match a pay MMO pretty well. So far the game has not pushed me to spend real money and only hinted at it once. If I had to start really paying money I could see dropping like 5$ a month on this.
As most MMOs I will soon lose interest but for now I'm going to keep playing.

OK the more I play Runes of Magic the more I like it. There are too many kill quests but overall it is a fun game. They have a bunch of small improvements that I hope all new MMOs copy. For example if you mouse over a creature it lists quests you need the creature for and how many you need. The Map also does a great job of listing everything and the find creature / person leads you right to people you are looking for. If you can't tell I'm trying to sucker some of you to at least try it. :) It goes live Thursday.

Postal, you still haven't even included a link to the game. You need to brush up on your sales technique. :P

I finally looked at some screenshots and have to say I'm impressed.
I have never seen another MMO so brazenly rip-off the art style of WoW before. :P

It is a big rip off of WoW. :) What worries me is that it is launch day and not many seem to be around. They only have 4 US servers right now.
