Hey, I'm trying to be positive here! :) I'm not very good at describing things without giving away anything, but here are 3 picks.

Braid (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/b/braidxboxlivearcade/) - A neat platform puzzle game available for download on good ol XBLive Arcade for I believe it was 1200 points. Great plot, fun time twist concept, and no repetition of the same puzzles. Well worth the $12 (or $20 for our Ned).

Gonzo (http://www.huntersthompsonmovie.com/) - An excellent documentary on the life of Hunter Thompson. Home movies, interviews, and some gems of insanity.

Joyeux Noël (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424205/) - Budly gave me the lead on this one, I had always been a big fan of the story/event, I was unaware it had been made into a movie a few years back. Soldiers in the trenches in WWI spontaneously declare a truce on Christmas Eve and celebrate together. Great feel good story, even if Christmas has passed.

I did the math. Braid would "only" cost me $16!

Joyeux Noel reminds me of a scene from "Oh What a Lovely War", a play I was in back in college. The scene was pretty much as described -- soldiers in trenches with the no-man's land stretched between the two sides and as Christmas Eve comes, the sound of gunfire and shells is replaced by soldiers singing carols (the group I was in sang "Silent night" in German from the theater lobby, to give the impression we were way out yonder to the audience).

I cry every time I hear Chris Gaines sing Silent Night.

I tried Braid and it did seem really cool. I never did end up buying it, and now it's old, so I can't. Really cool concepts, though. I'll probably buy Braid 2: Inside the Worm.
