It's still snowing and we're expected to get more. They've been announcing the doom since Wednesday, so how the fuck is it they didn't know to be plowing all night?
Even if I snowblow my driveway and get my tiny FWD car (not pictured) out of the garage, the streets aren't plowed.
Looks like more WoW for you!

School's out here. I'll post some pictures if I find the time.
I however am at work. I got my only house inspection for the day done at 8:00 and I'm in office for paperwork the whole rest of the day. No WoW :(

I was going to say something like "Good thing it isn't Tuesday!".
I'm at work (rain, no snow), but I did install WoW here yesterday...

We are expecting more snow this weekend but then it will apparently warm up enough to change to rain for Christmas.
I hate rain on Christmas. I'll take it over, say, burning rivers of lava, but I still hate it.
lots of snow expected to start here in the next hour or two, then possible snow tomorrow and likely snow on sunday...weather.gov percentages were 100% today and tonight, 40% tomorrow, 90% sunday. Then in the high teens but clear skies on Monday, with a low monday night of 7. If it were up to me, I wouldn't leave the house for the next 4 days....

Lucky!
It's a shame northerners insist on ruining a perfectly good winter storm by plowing the roads, thereby making it so people expect you to be places (like work). Idiots. Snow is nature's way of telling you to stay home by a fireplace and drink hot cocoa.

That's what we do here in Virginia when it snows. Two inches can shut down the city. I always stay home although I'm often asked why given we have two 4WD vehicles.

The only flaw with that is nothing would get done for about 3 months. And while I'm a fan of staying home and doing nothing, I'd prefer to not starve to death in my own home :bg:.

That's why you put marshmellows in your cocoa.
So..8-10 inches last night, stopped around midnight, started up again before 6 am, has been snowing ever since, tho not too heavy. Well over a foot now. Expecting "White out blizzard conditions" tomorrow. Awesome.

It's just windy and cold here, which is sadly not enough to prevent work. :(

We got a ton of snow but I still had to make it in for work. Bunch of people said they are working from home because daycare / schools are closed. One of the guys in front of me today fishtailed the whole way down the street.

having 4wd does little to protect you from the out of control idiots on the roads.

And that is *precisely* the answer I give them. Everyone here has an SUV and everyone here thinks 4WD is the same as traction. Okay, maybe not *everyone*, but way too many morons.

The shelter over the Ford Fairlane in my picture collapsed under the weight of the snow.

Yes, his mid-life crisis has been slightly damaged. :P
(they have a Volvo wagon out front that actually gets used)
Logan Airport in Boston reported yesterday morning that they had experienced 42 consecutive hours of snowfall. They did not close down.
We ended up with a little over a foot between the 3 days worth of snow. It's pretty light, so the wind the last few days was whipping it all over the place, tho.

Here's The Day After. Tim has confessed he is afraid to touch this for fear of damaging the car (further), so he's going to wait for the rain to wash away the snow. He said a cursory inspection reveals a probable dent in the roof.
