For our fourth writing exercise, I searched for an image that jackrabbit and I would each use as the basis for a story. There were no limits regarding style or subject, it just had to relate to the image.

This is the image I chose (click it go to David Fouch's website to see a larger version):

We agreed on a deadline of Monday, December 1st. jackrabbit finished early. I finished five days late. Whoops. I found it very difficult to write my story and will have a more detailed account of the process up on the WRITE! site in the next few days. In the meantime, feel free to check out and comment on The Dream of the Buckford County Church (http://creolened.com/fiction/buckford_county_church.pdf) (PDF).

Hopefully jackrabbit will share his version soon™.

After reading Ned's, I don't much like mine. I feel it's one of Ned's best pieces. Mine was just more of me doing it to get it done.

Anyway, here's Liberation of Strasbourg (http://write.jckrbbt.com/docs/liberation_of_strasbourg.pdf).

I haven't done much in the way of proofing it, so forgive typos, etc.

I've added a page on WRITE for our assorted writing exercises (http://write.jckrbbt.com/?page_id=38), making it easy-peasy to find them. jackrabbit, please pretty up as necessary.

You should know better than to release something at the same time as a WoW expansion pack. I'll try to read them and offer my thoughts soon, but I can make no promises. :)
