Under jackrabbit's advice, I'm starting a new thread for my Lovecraftian story Cervidae. I wrote it yesterday intending to match the bunny's killer parody ROTH but it ended up being more of an homage. For reference, the story's structure mimics the Lovecraft short story called Dagon (http://www.dagonbytes.com/thelibrary/lovecraft/dagon.htm). Enjoy!

Will definitely read it, I just wanted to comment how eerie it is that you posted this and not 45 minutes ago I just received my copy of The Re-Animator from Amazon.

I love the words in this. I don't know why. I want to collect them in a jar and proudly display them on my mantle.

True, but I still long for the days when great stories were told by cartoon vegetables, guys with beers but no shadows, and Spam Art.

Those Angry Carrot comics had an effort/reward payoff that was way way out of whack. And unlike jackrabbit, I can't even draw!

The effort required to get people together and stage shots in game for the cartoons was unbelievable, and I wouldn't ask you to do that again. I do miss them though. And you do draw very well, good enough for cartoons anyway, and write better than you draw. As Sam's Spam Art proves, wit is at least as valuable as artistic ability.
