Eve online

Just wondering if any of you guys were playing eve-online. I am, just because i can't get enough of starship warfare. I thought I'd check to see if any of you were playing.

I knew a bunch of people that started when the 15(?) day trial was first offered. Dg was one of them. I don't know if he still plays though.

Afterall, it's a computer game. It doesn't use an ergonomic controller or connect to Xbox live, so I imagine he's alreay tired of it.

I tried it, and it was kinda cool, but I thought the REALLY long trips between areas was a bit tiresome. Otherwise, not a bad game.

JR is right, I'm not playing it anymore. It is a great game though. But as my trial time was expiring I knew it wouldnt be worth it to subscribe. I had two full weeks of it and knew my brain wouldnt let me stick on it for another four. Man is that game beautiful though. It was fun just to watch all the different ships float around sometimes.

the getting around sucks, but with a little preperation, you can create insta jumps. not so bad then. I just love the huge pvp battles. feels like the opening sequence to episode III

truth is, this game is not for many. in fact, most of you fps whores would hate it.

I have seen the farthest reaches of the universe.

I have seen them on my map, and i doubt i would ever get there. I have hopped around between 2 or 3 systems though. And in this time, i've found alot i like about EVE.

Skills improve if you are playing or not. It sounds weird, but works well. The ammount of items, skills, ships, lewt, is staggering. It's somewhat impersonal. There's no emotes. But it is cool to see a fleet of big ass battle cruisers piloted by other players go by.

At first i thought i would play the trial, then dump it. However, i'm growing ever more attached to my ship.
