Hello.
The forum has been updated to the latest version of vBulletin, 3.50. If anything appears to be broken or otherwise not quite working right, please let me know.
EDIT: It appears the Aria theme that jackrabbit lovingly customized is having a few problems with the update. If you notice the forum using the default vBulletin theme, do not panic, it's only temporary.
If you prefer to panic, of course, then go right ahead.

Also note you can still use the mAria theme if you want to by setting it in your User CP. Basic functionality (posting, viewing messages) is still working.

I'm looking for a fix now as I really don't want to invest the time in building a new theme. However, getting a fix requires I prove I paid for the theme originally, which wouldn't be a problem if the site I bought it from hadn't been recently hacked.
My challenge now is to turn up a receipt for the purchase so I can get access to the updated files, and the email receipt is not under the name of the site or under the name of paypal, so I'll have to do some digging.
mAria Cartel does seem to work, and if you had many of the fancy things turned off (like I do) there is no visible change. However, I don't want people to not use it cause the fancy stuff is broke. I'll see what I can do over the next pair of days to fix it.

You mean the one right underneath your name that's there right at this very moment?

Avatars aren't displaying with the Aria or mAria styles right now.

I have a email sent to the people from whom I got the template. Hopefully they'll reply soon.

Oh, and the ticker-tape parade fell off a cliff into a pack of ravenous sheep.
Sorry.

I did sorta panick when the forum pages kept causing error messages, because when stuff like that happens I automatically assume that it was I who messed something up. And I really don't know how to fix anything (which is why I have to stay friendly with Loggy even though it's a hardship and he hardly talks to us anymore :bg: ). I got the orange color scheme back. The only thing that is still off is that people's avatars are not showing up. But I understand that that will be fixed.
BTW: Is Postal still alive???

Postal who?

might wanna make a main page entry for dummies like me who assume the forum is borked since it didn't work from mutliple computers.
wasn't until I saw Smackdown had a new post that I started investigating what was wrong. Simply logging out let me start viewing individual threads again.
Prior to logging out, I couldn't get past the main index page.

and now that I've logged back in, I'm getting the same error. Can't get past forum index. I have to log out to enter any forums

exactly the thing that would have been helpful on the main page a few days ago!

Whoa, people would read the main page? Who knew!
I will update it forthwith.

Ned just wants an excuse not to update the page. :o I hypothesize that more people would visit the front page if it were updated more often. The reverse could actually be true because it seems to be some sort of chicken-and-egg type deal.

It doesn't help that the main page sucks.
But it is now updated.

Jesus. I spent three days not getting into the forums because I hotlink directly here. I just read the front page now. Yeesh.

Hello. Is this fixed yet? If not, I'll look into it on Monday.

I asked you for the particulars on fixing the mAria template, but I think you were occupied with thoughts of vacation. :)
Which is another way of saying no, it's not fixed yet.

Should be fixed now. I noticed some missing images for things that are new (spell check, editor switch) and I'll try to fix that today. Also, any of the hard-coded fixes I did are still undone and I'll have to find where the new version stores those style definitions. I can probably fix them today too, but I'm sick with my customary "Winter Cold" and don't feel like doing much of anything. :(
If you find that something is broken, please post here and let me know.

Four things:
1. The user names should be smaller.
2. I would prefer the background for # of posts, online status etc. to be the same gray as the cell they are in, so they don't stand out so much.
3. The navigation links at the bottom of each page are gone again. I'll see if I can figure out how I hacked them in before.
4. Throttle the son of a bitch who coded 3.5 and broke every theme except the default one in the process.

The number of posts shows up twice under names for me.

For me, too. Weird. I honestly didn't touch that part, just the style of the border around it. It may be a bug of the Aria style. I'll fix that today. I finally found where it's stored. ;)

User names have been shrunk back to something less than giant-sized.

Navigation links should know be showing at the bottom of threads again. mAria is a surly and tempermental gal, I will say that.
