In anticipation of the upcoming movie, there is this nice short (2 minutes) film about the Soccamatic invention:

Soccomatic is not from the movie, it's from a collection of shorts that were made by people working on the movie as a warm up. It's on a DVD with something like 10 other shorts, and it's damn near impossible to find....they no longer sell it.

You don't have to worry about finding that version, because a new DVD (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000A2UBOI/qid=1128377117/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-2064835-5196643?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846) is being released which contains all 10 of the Cracking Contraptions shorts (which were originally released on the web).
