I would love to play Burnout with yous guys. I played it online for a bit when I first got it and it's a blast. It keeps track of everyone you've ever taken out as well as everyone who has ever taken you out and lets you know at the beginning of each race if you're racing against them. I just need to get one of them fancy headsets so I don't have to type with the damn gamepad.
If I ever get around to procuring a 360, my gamertag was and should remain TheTickBR3.

I have a bit of a problem with voice on the 360. The sound is routed through my PC, to which I have a headset connected. This means to use voice and still have regular sound on the 360 I would need to wear two headsets simultaneously. That could prove to be uncomfortable.
However, I can use Ventrilo with the 360 no problem!
I'd consider getting Burnout: Revenge if at least four other people swore up and down that they would play.

Up and down? I'm gonna have to think about that.

is that close enough to swearing up and down? if not, then fuck it
I do own the game though
gamertag is FoeKilla. I think I turned my xbox on at least once last month. And not at all in May. Ya know, it may have been march when I turned it on...

I tried to add Dg to my friends list but it said his list was full and I canna add him. We'll never play Burnout: Revenge this way!

Do you have Burnout Revenge? We had a great "pile up on Postal night" last night.

Nope. I only own Bioshock at the moment.
I think I'm gonna pick up R6 Vegas next to play with Fitty.

Bioshock, Dead Rising, Saints Row or Crackdown
I should be able to borrow Saint's Row from a friend. Other than that, between work and school, probably not too much gaming going on in the near future.

I'm torn between renting R6 Vegas and Crackdown for this weekend. Who wants to play video games with me? I also want to play Gears of War, had anyone not gone through that coop yet?
Or should I just go through Bioshock a second time (not a bad option, I turned the difficulty up and the game continues to rock my face clean in half.)
Or I'll play my Blood Elf.
Creole Ned

Crackdown is very fun in co-op mode (two player only). I have not tried the others yet.
Patton
08-29-2007, 12:04 PM
Well, let me know if you wanna try some of that coop action this weekend, Ned. It's cheaper to time our rentals to see if it's worth a purchase.
Creole Ned
08-29-2007, 12:13 PM
One problem with Crackdown co-op is you can only have one character per account (which is dumb)*. When Circuit and I played, he had pretty much finished the game and his character was maxed out on most stats compared to my 98 pound weakling. He had to create a second Live account to bring in a newbie character (he had an extra one month Gold account, I believe) that matched mine.
* I'm not 100% sure if the character is tied to account or storage device. If it's the latter, you could theoretically have more than one if you used memory cards.
Circuit
08-29-2007, 12:39 PM
The reason it's limited is because you can only have one save file per Live account for the game and the game is stupidly not setup to allow you to have more than one character at a time. The workaround would be to copy the save to a memory card or something, delete it from the 360 HDD and make a new one. Or as Ned said, make a whole new Live account, which is what I did. It's pretty dumb.

I have my account and a Guest account on my 360 for occasions such as that, and when I have visitors. What sucks is when I'm playing a game with someone and they earn an achievement I didn't have, and it records to Guest. :(
I authorized you and Tick last week, I think.
We need another Burnout Revenge session so that I turn my 360 on.

Thing is, you can't play online with a guest account. It has to be a full-fledged Live Gold account. :/

In our haus, you will find
XBOX 360 Games
Burnout Revenge
Table Tennis
Madden '08
Ultimate Alliance
XBOX Live
Carcassone
Settlers of Catan
Worms
Uno
Also, while Tick has the XBox live account of JoeF3, no one else in the house has a live account, so you might find me or my roommate Dan playing.

You can indeed. I don't know what the exact limitations are, but if you join random Halo 3 games, you will occasionally see .:BiGPiMp'N:. as well as .:BiGPiMp'N:.(2) and sometimes even .:BiGPiMp'N:.(3). It can be done, and they can kill you, I just don't think they can store profile info and gain Achievements.

So how is it done? Because Live Silver doesn't include online play. I tried playing online with guest accounts in the games Ned and I tried and wasn't able to. What I would imagine is happening in the situation you described is people are using the free Live trials that come with pretty much every game.
