Instead of the normal style of review, I shall expound upon my opinion of Spidey 3 in haiku format:
Snow falls, gentle, cold
The monkeys peel bananas
Fuck you, Sam Raimi.
It was horrible
Spidey went emo and cried
I want a refund.

Didn't he cry in the other ones?
I really enjoyed it. Eight legs up!
EDIT: Reading the "you killed my inner child" reviews over at Quarter to Three, it would appear that I had different expectations going into this film than a lot of people. I think of X-Men (at least the first two, never saw #3) as the "cerebral" superhero movies and put Spider-Man more into the "goofy fun" category, especially with Sam Raimi at the helm.
Also, can we agree on "emo" being one of the most trendy overused words out there right now? Good! (not in reference to pogo's post, just in general and specifically as applied to this movie)
EDIT 2: Having read the entire thread, I can safely say I am way out on popular opinion on this movie. See at your own risk! I will say that #2 is still the best of the three, with #1 behind it.

I liked it. 2 was better, but I still thought 3 was pretty great. It's funny, though. I thought it was too long but at the same time it seemed rushed. I think it could've stood to focus on fewer things. Three villains is a bit much. I'd still watch it again, though, and will definitely be buying it on DVD.

I thought it was OK but 1 and 2 were a lot better.

20 minutes of action and 2 hours of crying does not make a good spider-man movie, imo.
Hot Fuzz was a great movie and made up for that other piece of garbage.

Actually I had originally planned to post something with much more substance and style. After complaining and convincing Ned to remove the thread from archives I decided that this reply was much more humorous to me while still conveying my true feelings about the movie. The response I expected has indeed happened as planned but from an unexpected source. I'll need to recalibrate my settings for next time to account for this new anomaly.

One line review?
It was not as bad as I expected it to be.

I liked seeing the thread dug up just because my own reaction to the movie is so out of line with the other nerds. Also, the "Free pogo" avatar.

I liked Spiderman 1 a lot. 2 was pretty bad. I skipped 3 altogether because I could tell the series was showing serious signs of Schumacher-itis.

It was the weakest of the three, but yeah, I liked it. Here were the flaws as I saw them:
- it seemed like they thought this might be the last one so they jammed way too much into it, specifically too many villains. Call it the "Batman and Robin" effect, but with less cheese and no nipple suits.
- too much touchy-feely Peter Parker. I found the parts where he was being taken over by the Venom suit quite funny, as it turns out a menacing Peter Parker is really just an angry nerd. I can see why others felt it was too much of a not-great thing.
- trying to tie everything together made the whole story implausible -- even for a movie about a comic book superhero
- the balance between corn/satire was a bit off at times; maybe Raimi had problems trying to find an overall tone for the movie
However, despite enjoying it, I'd probably remove several legs in hindsight and give it 5 legs up instead of 8.
I have to say that i enjoyed this movie. My memory is too short-term to make a firm decision as to whether I enjoyed it more or less than the previous ones. There were awkward spots, but I wrote them off to my own emotional retardedness... it is hard to find movies that don't make me feel out of sorts at times. Firefly/Serenity being a notable exception, but there is a separate thread for that.
EDIT: complete sentences are over-rated.
