Smackdown 177: Chaos!

Map: CTF-CE-Gorgatha or DM-CE-ThermoTech

We will be using Chaos, which can be found here (http://chaotic.beyondunreal.com/c2_download.php?view=cut2). Note there are two files, the main ChaosPR one (around 300 MB) and a patch (18 MB). You'll need both. Make sure to TEST IT after you install it because several people have had problems getting it up and running and we will not have time to wait for everyone to figure things out.

If it turns out a bunch of people don't have it installed by SD time (shouldn't happen if anyone checks this forum prior to SDs) we will fall back on some vanilla DM.

If we have an even number of participants, we will be playing CTF. An odd number will be DM. We will be using Chaos weapons only. Bind your keys! Notably:

- weapon fire mode
- kick
- drop relic
- gravity belt

The relics are always on once picked up but you can drop the one you're carrying and swap to another you find at any time.

any idea what the command for drop relic is? I have to edit the ini file manually...

The map will be:

CTF-CE-Gargotha for CTF
DM-CE-ThermoTech for DM

Note for CTF, the translocator will be OFF but the grappling hook will be ON.

Tai, I rebound my drop relic key to "a". Not sure what the default is.

Well, a curious Smackdown.

The CTF game saw Team Blue win the first game 2-0. The second game saw a rare server crash and when it came back up the teams were lopsided, so we switched over to DM. Postal suffered the warmup curse by winning there but Arm, who was still downloading the bloomin' thing during the warm-up managed to pull off the win.

Congrats to Tai for a strong third. The feisty martian vowed revenge on Postal and got it. :) I totally didn't deserve second place given my ability to kill myself.

Do I get bonus points for drinking my eleventh beer during the match? I knew I shouldn't have mentioned it when I was in the lead - I spent the next 3 minutes running around without finding anybody while Arm and Ned passed me by. Congrats to both of yas. Gold next time for sure!!
