View Full Version : UT skins?

I assume there is a plethora of UT skinning information out there, but I figured I should ask the masters for pointers. I want a relatively simple custom player skin, yellow with black stripes, maybe with other accents from my GT. There should probably be one or more beer references too. I figure I should probably start with the simple existing player model(s) first rather than try to create a whole new model (I would suck at that completely), but how hard can it be to get two black stripes on yellow?

Soooo, link to any good sites with tools/tutorials?

Circ made some custom skins for several of us, not sure where they are. I know I had one, and he had one, and I think Sam had one.

I have his and Sam's. Don't know if I have yours, I tend to think not.

I'll put up the old skins page and files tonight. Circuit made skins for himself, Tick and BoX (when he used to be cool). Sam made a modified Brock skin with the QB logo. It was like shooting him was officially sanctioned.

I was getting (?) confused. I have Circuit's and thought I had one for Shadowrat, not Sam. This glowing gold armored thing. Wrong as usual.

The robit skin Shadowrat uses is one of the default ones, although he's the first to use it in our games. Now if we could only get the ratonga model into UT...

okay, I am home and am trying to figure out how to get the skin from the link that was linked? I mean the Mars Attacks skin, not Ned's link.

I will rehost this once I get it so Martians dont' have to wait through the queues and stuff :) Ned points out that it seems to have a voice pack.... ;)

Okay, I installed it and hosted it (http://www.againsttheherd.com/images/ut/martian_ut2k4.zip) and it works complete with sound pack and everything. I humbly submit to Ned that you put the link in the sticky page. I totally love it. Humans are stupid. "Don't run, we are your friends!"

Nope... It's the UT99 models converted for use in UT2K4. They won't look as good as UT2K4 models, but it will get you a Nali. :)

Nali have four arms, not two. Clearly an imposter.

Harka

They cut two off in the Martian ritualistic fashion which started by one of Tai's great ancesters back in antiquity. The Nali of today who choose to follow this path, well at least the smarter ones, cut off the arms as to leave one on each side of the body.

Well, he's obviosuly trying to hide his heritage as one of the Barsoomian green warriors of the Martian Seas, and thus cut off one set of limbs....

I am but an egg.

It's not unheard of. Klingons used to surgically alter their forehead ridges in the times of Kirk.
