With the promise of a decent turnout, I'd like to make the next SD team-based and also give Jailbreak UT2004 a shot. For anyone who has played previous versions of Jailbreak, it works just as you'd expect it. For those who haven't, a summary:

You have two teams. Each time someone gets killed, they get placed in jail. The first team to put all of the other in jail wins the round. Teammates can bust you out of jail or you can try to escape.

The mod comes with its own maps and junk and the download is a little under 120 MB. I'd like to give this a test run this week before officially committing to it.

The JB page is linked in the stickied thread and can be found here (http://jailbreak.beyondunreal.com/download/jb2004-mod/).

I would try this.

I'll try it. Let me know what day we want to test. I may be home late tomorrow though.

It appears the umod version of JB is not working with the current patch and the zipped version (from some sites, at least) contains the umod version, so you may want to hold off on the download unless you can find a straight zip version. I shall investigate further!

A fix from the Jailbreak forums:

Search for "Version=" in your manifest.ini (resides in the system folder of ut2004), set the value to 3369 (latest UT2004 patch), like this: Version=3369 and the umods shall work again.

I found the zip version by following your link and then clicking on the link that said "Archive" and got it from 3ddownloads without too much hassle.

Another fix is to simply install the plain 3369 patch (not the MegaPack) again. This changes the version number to the correct one and umods will again install normally.

umods never work.

Verified that editing the manifest.ini file allows umods to work properly.

Also, Jailbreak is a heap o' fun.

Did you ever figure out what the yellow bar was? defenses I think? Which was what, if you shot an enemy team guy near your own padlock?

Yeah it seems to be kills near your home base. Somehow while your playing it actually displays each person with defending / attacking.
