I'd like to thank the inventor of Sudafed for this tremendous moral victory. Check out the new hotness:

By the time any of the rest of us get to 70, you guys will be burned out on all the 5 man content. :(

Maybe take a vacation, get some hookers, maybe a tattoo. Then come back in a few weeks, refreshed, relaxed, a carrier of Hep-B, and ready to take on the world.

that would be a bummer if people are burned out on the level 70 stuff by the time the rest of us get there :\

although if the goal is still to do the 25 man instances with all (or nearly all) mc'ers we'll have to get to 70 as a group

oh don't worry

the 3 or 4 of us that are getting into the higher-end of things (fool, pogo, me, and kieth) aren't really going to be ready to run the higher stuff until some of you get yourselves up in level as well

pugging a tank or a healer makes me worry, heh

specifically, we need a healer or a dedicated tank :P

i think the reason the 4 of us are so far ahead is that we haven't been playing alts or anything like that

i mean, i can't play an alt from 60-70, because I don't have one :D

Bah, it won't take you all more than a couple weeks at the pace you're all going. The XP required to gain levels doesn't scale much at all. In fact, the increase of XP actually gets smaller. The difference in XP between 68 and 69 is less than 30,000.

wait what??? it only takes 30,000 xp to get from level 68 to 69?

read that again falhawk.

I think he means that from 67-68 is the same as 68-69 plus 30,000. And it's easier to get to because the mobs/quests offer more XP.

I'm really having a lot of fun swapping between characters, gaining rested, and knowing exactly where to go for quests with one or the other. Plus, playing a Fury Warrior and a Combat Swords Rogue is actually fairly similar. Llydia does more damage, Winter can take more hits.

I just started in Zangamarsh last night, running around getting all the quests, and then just killing stuff. In a lot of cases, killing ANYTHING was part of some quest. After I finished a quest, I'd head back to turn it in, kill a mob en route and find out I needed those mobs, too. I'm excited to get back there, but it probably wont be till Saturday night. :(

Both characters are on the edge of hitting 63.

alright that makes more sense.

I mosied over there with my warlock last night and picked up the first 4 or 5 quests and then parked for the night. I'm looking forward to mowing through those and exploring the zone. Perhaps I shall run into you soon

Zangar is fun, Terokkar is more fun, and Nagrand is even better.

I hope the progression stays the same.

Hopefully I can get some playtime in tonight, but I might not get serious until Saturday. I wanna run a new instance this weekend.

Basically the rate of increase is lower Fal. For instance (I'm making these numbers up because I can't remember specifically):

65-66: 580,000
66-67: 630,000
67-68: 670,000
68-69: 700,000
69-70: 720,000

Instead of big leaps in xp like 1-60 were, the numbers actually decrease. It takes basically the same amount of time per level. In fact you argue levelling gets faster as you progress because the rate of xp increase for higher level quests more than counters the small increase in xp required to level.

I don't know if I told everyone, but I saw a Blood Elf Paladin 61 last night running around near HH.

If you can take a level 1 to 61 in a week and a half, and we know you can take a 60 to 70 in a week, it is possible (if you have no life) to go from Zero to 70 in less than 3 weeks.

And forget farming instances for Blues and Purples, you're already know the good crap is in the expansion.

It will be interesting to see how this affects the longterm health of the game.
