As described in another thread:

The Eden Trial - a timed trial that requires four people to start. Level range is 39-41.

Johnny is now closing in on level 40 and I think now is as good a time as any to look into getting this trial underway. Since it requires at least four people, I was thinking the triumvirate of crime-fighting goodness that is Johnny, Jet Face and Francine could recruit a fourth (or more) from the general server population milling about at the time.

We just need to pick a time to gather and do the trial. It's timed (or at least part of it is) so it should be easy to do it in one go. My schedule is pretty much wide open currently, so I'm good whenevah.

It's pretty much all up to Mr. Killa.

Reminder: we shall attempt this tonight. As Johnny is 40, I recommend we have either Francine or Jet Face lead the team just in case enemies con off the leader. We should also set our reps to Heroic if they are not so already.

We can begin sometime after today's session for the super-secret can't name it beta test ends.

Bloops - so when else would be a good time to do this?

What happened, you wiped? I saw the aforementioned heroes online last night, and thought you were doing the trial. And you even said you were winning! :)

Paladin joined the group with Gray Death but he's a little too low level to get into the trial. We ran a few of my missions instead with him sidekicked. It was a petopalooza with Fred, Jack and all the fuzzballs running around.

I wouldn't mind doing it tonight.

Let's pub it the next time we're on.

Circuit

I'm down with that. I don't want to out level it before we get it done. Plus, we still have the Sewer Trial to do and we'll have to pub that one anyway.

please don't go without me :(

Will you give me candy if I promise not to?

I am happy to continue with the Croatoa stuff for now, though. It's by far the most amusing zone to date. I love it. :bg:

Any idea when you're going to be able to do this, Foe?

Circuit

Ned, should we go ahead and do this thing with a pick up group and do it again whenever Foe has time? We could always exemplar down if we out level it.

I dunno. I'm rethinking Johnny's build after the butchering the devs did on Quanrtum Flight. I'd probably want to respec him before the trial - assuming there are no more fantastic changes on the way.

You guys can feel free to press on without me.
Battlefield2 has it's hooks in me deep. I haven't even logged into the Super-Sekrit game since I bought BF2
Sorry if I've held you up.

On the other side of the coin, if you guys wanna try it one evening this weekend, I can try and clear it with the Mrs. - post 8pm Pacific is best for my household

This weekend is fine by me.

Also, BF2? Weren't you one of the chronic complainers about BF1942? :P

Tai

What times do you play at Foe? I haven't seen ya online yet

Ned, I never owned BF 1942, though I tried it at Eradicator's house on several occasions and just "didn't get it". It felt like it was missing something to me. jet packs I did buy BF Vietnam, and while I really dug the soundtrack, I just didnt get into it.
I was a vocal complainer about BF2 forcing me to install GameSpy though. Perhaps that is what you remember? Anyway, BF2 seams like a wholly different game to me from the other two. It has a great kinetic feel to it and damnit, it's just fun.

Tai, I usually play from about 1200-1300 Pacific (lunch break) and after 2000 until about 2130 or 2200 weekdays, as late as my eyes will stay open on the weekend.
Name is simply FoeKilla - I have no idea how'd you'd even find me though, but if you can, please do! I got promoted yesterday to Private First Class! Yay me!

I probably won't be around until pretty late tonight, but I'm free Saturday pretty much all day. While the New Grape of Wrath and Captain Too Tan crimefighting team is really fun, I'm starting to miss the Kheldian adventures.

I'll keep an eye open, try this when looking for us (I also added the martian bf2 players) :)

It gives you a list of your friends that are online and the server they are on. It's the NOVA list, but I added all the Martians that said they played bf2 and gave me their handles. I have no idea why it's suddenly broken other than obviosuly it can't get to the mysql server anymore :(

An alternate option would be to hop on the NOVA vent (details in Private forum) and just ask where we are - that's what I am about to do now :)

In other actual CoH-related news, we've discovered that the Knives of Artemus aren't as bad as we remember, possibly because we have more firepower for dealing with those sneaky womens now.

I am going to advertise on the Triumph forum on the official CoH boards for the Eden trial, see if we can get a few people who may have done it before to join up. Circuit, is there a particular day/time that works best for you? I'll wait until you give me the ol' heads-up before posting.

For Nosferatu, I think we might be okay if we have at least four of us, so looking for help in-game will probably be good there.

I'd also like to finish off my accidental start of the sewer trial but getting to Rikti might be trickier now with Q-fly conking out after a little more than 45 seconds. It's possible, I suppose, but unphasing in the middle of three level 40 Death Mages would probably be unpleasant.

At least it shouldn't be too hard to fight our way through if we have to. If it turns out that I'm wrong, I should probably be able to phase and get as far in as the timer on Nebulous Form will allow me and teleport everyone.

Ned, I don't know my schedule for the week yet, but I'll let you know when I find out. It shouldn't be too difficult to get the trial done this week.

Sorry, Ned, but a friend is taking me to a Santana concert with 4th row seats as a preemptive birthday present. I'll probably still play tonight, but it'll be late.

I'll never forgive you!

Actually, I will. If you had said "Clay Aiken concert", however, I would have meant it.

Ned, wanna post to the Triumph boards and try to knock this thing out tonight? I'd like to shoot for 8pm Central. Hopefully we can get some other people besides JetFace to eat the gigantic Devouring Earth monster's boulders. :O

There is another full group (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3809145&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#3809145) doing the trial tonight. Given that, it may be a tad tricky to do it this evening. Maybe the weekend?

Then I suggest powerleveling every current alt we have instead!

Creole Ned

Circuit's last suggestion may be the best alternative at this point. :p

Apart from CoV starting up in a few days, there's also the little matter of ED coming with CoH's Issue 6. I've done some testing on the Training Room and while it's not necessarily doom, there's no denying that in a game where damage is king, damage will now be some cousin thrice removed from the throne instead. I suspect it will be very difficult to organize pick up groups for any of the trials, save possibly for the Terra Volta respec.

On the other hand, the game will look prettier as you vainly try.

Also, I sometimes still get the global message from Foe popping up when I log in - over a month later. "Let's do the trial!" he says. :bawl:
