After 18 months of dating, my girlfriend is moving in in about 12 hours. I'm nervous. This is the first time since my freshman year of college I've had to share my place with someone on a permanent basis. That's like 16 years ago. I'm seriously set in my ways. On the plus side, I should be around more on Saturday's from now on.

As long as you each have a retreat to watch seperate TV programs, or just for a time out, you'll be fine...
Luck!:wavey:

Keep separate bathrooms, man. I have maintained a happy marriage on that one point alone.

Congrats and good luck!

Seperate bathrooms are great, except when it comes to cleaning 2 bathrooms! At least if you each have a sink, you should be good to go...

& no, you don't have to share everything & leave the potty door open

I can give you my parents advice:

Never go to bed upset with one another.

They swear by it.

Don't poop in the kitchen. That's my advice. Then when she complains about how messy you are, you can retort with, "AT LEAST I DON'T POOP IN THE KITCHEN!"

Thanks for all the advice guys. :)

The move went well, and was followed by dinner out where her parents and my mother got a chance to finally meet. So far the toughest thing was fixing the firewall on my computer so she could share my printer. Well, that and moving a treadmill upstairs.

It would have been more ironic had it been a StairMaster, but I'll give you mad props.

Grats on the move/roomie/snuggle buddy.

I wish I had this advice 2 years ago. :(
