For the next Smackdown :) As long as it isn't October 8th.

Now we just need Ned to announce one...

We'll probably try a Free For All round of FEAR this Sunday. I'm heading over to the Island but should be back in time to set it up.

The rocket launcher will be disabled. :P

P.S. FEAR Combat (standalone version) is 1.8 GB. Don't start downloading it just before gametime.

So I download Combat and that gives me everything I need, or is there a Multiplayer part too? (Actually, I probably ought to go read the Required Files section, huh?)

Fear Combat is multiplayer only, so yes, it's everything you need aside from a free registration code from justfear.com.

If anyone stumbles across a sound fix for Fear Combat, please post it. The game was fun last time, but having to turn the sound off to avoid horrible screachy spikes from my speakers made it difficult.

Maybe your keyboard colluded with your speakers for the horrible pounding we hear you give it on Ventrilo.

I KID :D

I found a fix in the FEAR forums:

Uninstall the Creative sound drivers, and buy a Turtle Beach or use onboard sound. No one should be subjected to the cataclysm of development that is the Creative drivers.

I found a fix in the FEAR forums:

Hardy-har-har to the both of you.

I am using the on-board sound JR.

As for hearing my keyboard, I'm open to suggestions...

If I use Vent, you hear the keyboard

If I don't use Vent, either you have to type everything I need to know in an instance or I blurt out stupid stuff like "At least we got a purple we can split...". Speaking of which, what happened with it?

it never sold, still in the bank.

Yeah, Heather spent nearly 20g trying to sell it so there it sits.

I figured 12 hours would be plenty of time to download it, but nothing is serving it up faster than 30 K/s :(

Tai's sorta like Arm jr. :)

We'll do it next weekend. I just got back from the island and I'm not in the mood to set up a Smackdown. I will, however, make an official-type post tomorrow, with map and everything! :o

Push-to-talk hotkey.

Push-to-talk hotkey.

I use, and have always used, push to talk. That is why I'm so completely baffled as to how people are hearing key clicks when I type. I posted on the Vent tech forum and tried the resulting suggestions. Since I never could hear my keystrokes, I don't know if it did any good. It'd be since Friday.
